put together the words of your life, trying to sum-marize in a few brief words who you were, your life's accomplishments but most of all how much you were loved.

A year ago, I could not write the words that would help me say good-bye. A year ago I could not see the page through my tears. A year ago, remember-ing was too hard.

Today, it has been a year and the words I want to say are simple. You were a great Dad, proud of your children, no matter what we did, you adored your grandchildren, even if we didn't raise them as you would have preferred and you had an endless love for Mom for over 50 years. The only other thing that had your devotion was your love for the Leafs, convinced they would return to greatness.

Today, remembering is a little easier. Today, the tears are not so many.Today, I still miss you.Today, I don't have to say good-bye because you will always be in my heart. Today, it has been a year and we all want to say we love you Dad, Dina, Marco, Lisa & mostly Mom.

HOPE, Jean Caroline- Passed away at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at the age of 85. Beloved wife and best friend of 63 years to Del . Much loved mother o f Deborah Metrakos and Blair Hope, both of Burlington. Cherished grandmother of Adam and Erin. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Jean was a devoted wife and mother, someone to whom family meant everything to and will be deeply missed. Sincere appreciation to the staff and volunteers on 3 East OTMH for all of their compassionate care. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME , 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm, where a celebration of Jean’s life will be held Saturday, March 15, 2008, at 1 pm. Frank was preceded in deathby his first wife Ann Fife in 1987. He will foreverbe cherished by his son Jeff and his wifeLorraine and their children Jamie, Robert andHeather and his daughter Elaine and herhusband Greg Austin and their children Rileyand Carley.

He is also survived by his adoring wife Phyllisand her daughter Phyllis and grandson Williamin St Cloud, Florida. Family and friends inCanada and England will sorely miss him.
