in order of the establishment of their position

Presidential Disability• Until the 25th Amendment there

was no plan in case the President got sick.

• Section 3 and 4 of the 25th established a plan where the VP can act as the President

Presidential Disability

1) If the President informs congress in writing “He is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.”

2) If the VP and a majority of the Cabinet inform Congress the President is incapacitated, the President can be removed and the VP placed in charge.

The president can resume his duties and powers as soon as he informs congress no inability exists.

The electoral college is the least understood part of our election process.

When you cast your vote for the president you are actually voting for an elector.
