PROGRESS REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF January 2019– 2020 CLASSES LKG – II
9th JANUARY2020: The school reopened after a winter break of 10 days.
17th JANUARY 2020: Open competitions “Show and Speak about your favourite toy” for Classes LKG & Prep
and “Best out of waste” for classes I & II were conducted . 150 students in all participated
and exhibited their best of speaking skill and creativity.
21st JANUARY2020: Oral Polio drops were administered to the students of LKG and Prep by MP government.
25thJANUARY 2020:
Special assembly was held to celebrate 71st Republic day in school showcasing our patriotic
fervour.
The day concluded by distributing sweet packets to all the children which were sponsored by
NTPC Vindhyachal.
29thJANUARY2020: “Basant Panchami” is an occasion which marks the advent of the spring season and is also
celebrated to worship Saraswati , the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom . This day was
celebrated in our school with great fervour and enthusiasm . The children enjoyed the day ,
enlightened by the blessings of Maa Saraswati.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH: On 31
stJanuary Primary Wing celebrated Colour Day .Each grade and each section of the
Primary Wing had their own scheme of colours. The students dressed in those beautiful
glowing colours reflected just how their spirits are all the time filled with fun and enthusiasm.
CLASSWISE ACTIVITIES HELD THIS MONTH FOR THE CONCEPTUAL
GROWTH OF CHILDREN
CLASS– LKG
ENGLISH: Concept of In / On introduced through the different tools available in the premises.
HINDI “Aa Ki Matra” introduced through flash card activity .
MATHS: The students enjoyed learning the concept of More or Less through counting the picture
activity.
CLASS– PREP ENGLISH: The students rejoiced doing the activity “Tell The Position” in order to understand the
concept of in / on / under / behind.
HINDI: The children made merry by revising their matras by doing Bean Bag activity.
EVS The children were taken out for a Nature Walk in order to learn the parts of a plant and
different types of plants.
MATHS: The children joyfully learnt the concept of Tens and Ones using colourful pencils.
CLASS– I ENGLISH: Walking Water Experiment was performed by the children guided by their teacher in order to
learn the making of Rainbow.
HINDI: The children had fun learning opposite by doing Picture activity.
EVS: The children were overjoyed to categorize the animals under the right heading in order to
learn different types of animals.
MATHS The children adored doing the activity –How manyTens and Ones ? Match with their correct
number name.
CLASS– II ENGLISH: The children were thrilled to do the activity of making “Contraction Kites” in order to learn
Short Forms.
HINDI: The children enjoyed doing scrap book activity of drawing and pasting the picture of their
National animal in the scrapbook.
MATHS: The children were delighted to do Addition and Subtraction using cards of Tens and Ones.
EVS: The children had fun making model of different means of transport.
CLASSES III TO V 11th January, 2020: Inter House Recreational races for classes III-V was held on 11th January 2020. The
students rejoiced the above competition and give their best. It was quite exciting and full of
fun competition. The result of the competition is as given below:

11th & 12th January, 2020: In a Sharad Mela which was held on 11th & 12th January by Suhasini Sangh of NTPC
Vindhyachal, DPS Vindhyanagar students performed a cultural programme on the theme
“SAVE WATER”. The dance performances of the students was enthralling and it won the
hearts of one and all. It was praised by each and every dignitarie present in the above
mentioned winter fair.
On 12th January , 2020: the science exhibition was held in which our students exhibited wonderful, working models,
art and craft which was liked and praised by one and all. It was indeed a wonderful show put
by the students of DPS Vindhyanagar
15th January, 2020: Picnic for classes III-V was held in Vindhyanagar Lake Park. The students had a lot of fun
and frolic. They enjoyed a lot. They played a lot of games, enjoyed the delicious food items
and participated in various competitions. It was fun filled day for them and they had
wonderful memories to cherish.
26th January, 2018: The school celebrated the Republic Day with great pomp and show in the school. The
Principal of the School hoisted the flag and it was followed by National Anthem and
wonderful and informative speeches by the students and teachers. The students of school were proudly took part in the Republic Day Celebration held in the
Ambedkar Stadium, NTPC Vindhyachal. They took part in the Republic Day Parade, cultural programme. The Cultural Programme was appreciated by one and all present in the
stadium. DPS Vindhyangar received a huge appreciation for the same.
29th January, 2020 :
Saraswati Pooja was held in the school on the occasion of Basant Panchmi. All the teachers
and students were part of this auspicious occasion. They offered their flowers and prayers to
Goddess Saraswati- Goddess of Wisdom and Knowledge.
Classes VI-VIII
REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF JANUARY ‘20
11th -12TH JAN’20- UMANG MELA: NTPC( Vindhyachal) held Umang Mela and talented Dipsites participated in the cultural
programme and science exhibition ,which was a part of it. Vibrant paintings, thoughtful
science exhibits and sizzling dances of kids were highly appreciated by the officials of
NTPC and the crowd . Many won prizes and once again they added another feather to the
cap of DPS(V)
11th JAN’20- INTER HOUSE NUKKAD NATAK COMPETITION: Competitors of the six houses awaited to be on stage in the well-planned , well titled
awareness programme or Nukkad Natak . Themes such as „Brain Drain , Superstitions, were
presented and much applauded by Judges, and audience and several participants were found
to be extremely talented. A day to be remembered specially for Ravi House as it stood first
,followed by Ganges House second and third Yamuna House.

12th JAN’20- YUVA DIWAS: Honourable Principal Sir, Staff and students participated in the „Surya Namaskar‟ conducted
to celebrate „Yuva Diwas at school. Specially invited guests were a part of this auspicious
occasion and they enriched the students with their words of wisdom on Swami
Vivekananda and his contributions to the society.
13th JAN’20-PAREEKSHA PE CHARCHA: Our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the students of India in
„Pareeksha Pe Charcha‟ which dipsites could view live at school. He being a voracious
speaker and orator ,well kept the students glued and especially the questionnaire was
enriching to all.
COMMON REVISION ASSESSMENT CONDUCTED: Classes 5th and 8th answered CRA papers sent by DPSS N Delhi for assessment, and
students tried to do their best as they got an opportunity to test themselves, their potentials
and knowledge.
13th JAN’ 20- FICCI Interaction: The federation Indian chambers of commerce and industry team had been on a visit to
NTPC(V) and they interacted with the GEMs Students of our school, Principal Sir and Mrs
Manisha Tiwari (Co-ordinator). They appreciated the student performance and encouraged
them to continue doing the good wark.
21st JAN’ 20- Special Assembly of Social Science: Social Science being an interesting subject aroused the interest of many on the topics fixed
for the day as Republic Day and the National Leader Subhash Chandra Bose.The speeches,
acts ,quiz and other presentations were extremely vivid and enhancing.Overall, the assembly
was well appreciated by all.
22nd JAN’20 VIsIT OF bUsINEss ExcEllENcE TEAM: DPSV had the privilege of having the Business Excellence team at the school on 22 Jan‟20.
they had visited the School from NTPC(V) to scrutinise the work of the school and every area
and infrastructure, admission level academics etc and found every area performance
appreciable and well maintained.
23rd JAN’20 Inter School debate competition (Nigahi):
Two of our students Jitisha Parihar VIII B and Ankita Jha VIII C under the guidance of Mrs.
Shashi Seth had been to DPS(Nigahi) for an inter-school debate competition on the topic
“Nagrikta Sanshodhar Kanoon sab key Hit me hain in Hindi”. The topic being an
interesting one, the preparation was done extremely well, the dipsites presented the argument
in an awesome manner and made the school proud by winning second prize. The team work
was appreciated by all present there.
25TH JAN’20 GO GREEN : the school contines its plantation work every activity period to plant saplings to bring about
awareness among the students about tree plantation and its advantages. Principal Sir, Jose
Mam, and other teachers were a part of Go Green programme of this month and made it a
successful one.
25th Jan 2020. Awareness program by integrity Club: The integrity club of the school presented a program titled , HONESTY IS THE BEST
POLICY, in the presents of the august gathering the Chief guest for the day being Shri Uttam
Lal GM (HR)NTPC Vindhyachal and guest of honour Shri Snehasheesh Bhattacharya AGM
(HR) NTPC Vindhyachal interesting speeches, Quiz, thematic Skits , mesmerizing dances
etc were staged and the audience applauded and enjoyed every bit of it. The guest too in their
words of wisdom appreciated the entire program and the performance of the school in the
Singrauli region. It was well coodinated by Mrs Shashi Seth in charge, Integrity Club.
26th JAN’20-REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION:
This auspicious national festival was celebrated both at school and stadium.The Indian flag at
school was unfurled by our honourable Principal Sir.very interesting and informative
programme was held .Whereas, the students participated in March Past, pyramid and field
display ,the topic of which was YOGA and its benefits and FIT INDIA.All these
mesmerizing presentation were appreciated by one and all.
Classes IX- XII After winter break,School reopened on 9 th Jan. 2020.
Special classes for the slow learners of classes 10&12th continued during the vacation also.
12.01.2020: Swami Vivekanand Jayanti as National Youth day was celebrated in the school amidst the
presence of Mrs. and Mr. Patel Gen. Sec. Vewa Club NTPC Colony. Recorded speech of
Swami ji addressing Chicago Assembly , played in the open assemblage was applauded for
its intrinsicality. Surya namaskara inclusive of its many Aasana was the best pass on to the
young minds. Principal's address of the day expressed his faith on the juggernaut that is well
meni fested in Indian Sanskriti.
11.01.2020 - 22.01.2020 : Pre-Boards Examination for classes 10 & 12 were conducted.
31.01.2020 : Parent Teacher Meeting was held and answer script verification was done.
