OPERATOR FOCUSED, RESULTS DRIVEN
What does it take for printing presses to really deliver in terms of quality
and productivity?
Efficient and proven technology, obviously. But the true difference is
made by the people behind the controls. If their machines are reliable
and easy to use, they will enjoy their work more and, as a result, do
a better job.
KEEPING YOUR OPERATORS MOTIVATEDThe above reasoning explains why MPS puts operators first at any level
of product development, down to the tiniest detail. Our presses will help
you to maximize the talents of your operators, enabling them to per-
OPERATOR FOCUSED, RESULTS DRIVEN
ABOUT MPSWe design and build printing presses for the
label and flexible packaging industry.
During the design phase we ask ourselves:
What does it take for printing presses to
really deliver in quality and productivity?
It’s the people behind the controls.
That is why MPS puts the operator first.
form at their best. Printing companies will reap more benefits than just
perfect printing results. After all, a motivated operator is also a loyal
operator.
In this brochure we will briefly present a few prime examples of how our
operator focus translates into unique product features and advantages
− and, ultimately, into top print quality and printing productivity.

MOTIVATED OPERATORS BOOST RESULTS
OPERATOR MOTIVATION PROVES ESSENTIAL FOR PRODUCTIVITY
In today’s printing market, it is becoming harder and harder to find and keep skilled ope-
rators. Studies have proven that a motivated operator is the most important parameter
in the printing process. User-friendly printing presses contribute to maximum operator
motivation. | Operator Focused, Results Driven.
EASY TO USE CONTROLS
ICONTROL ON EACH STATIONThe intuitive MPS iControl interface greatly simplifies machine
control and operation, and, hence, minimizes operator errors.
HIGHLY ACCESSIBLE TOUCH SCREENSMPS presses come with extremely easy to use full colour touch
screens at each print station. All machine functions (start, stop,
speed, etc.) can be controlled from any station.

SMART ERGONOMICS
SLIDE OUT INK DRAWERSMPS offers the benefit of slide out ink drawers. Operators won’t
need to lean into their machines in order to change ink. This
option is offered standard on the EFA and EXL-Packaging presses.
EASY PRINT HEAD ACCESSPress operators won’t need complicated manoeuvring in order
to service or clean print cylinders or sleeves.
CLEVER RAIL SYSTEMSMPS rail systems are designed for easy access. On top of that
we have introduced Ultraflex, a rail extension to change the
sequence of the converting units “on the fly”.

RELIABLE PERFORMANCE
AUTOMATION To make the operator’s job as easy as possible, MPS developed
a fully automated press. It provides automated servo control of
relevant print pressure settings at each print station, with auto-
mated job memory allowing for effortless repeat jobs.
PRESS FEEDBACK This press provides accurate, real-time data regarding the posi-
tion of the anilox and print sleeve at each print station. This will
clearly boost operator confidence.
INTELLIGENT PRESSURE SETTINGSWhen there’s no print station automation technology on board,
MPS’ proprietary iSet Technology provides a user-friendly way of
regulating pressure settings. This mechanical setting techno-
logy decreases setup waste and delivers reliable performance.
CONSISTENT PRINT QUALITY
FAST SET-UPS ANDCHANGEOVERS
QUICK CHANGE PRINT ELEMENTSIn MPS presses print elements such as ink trays, meter rollers,
anilox rollers, and doctor blades are very easy to change. Anilox
rollers as well as doctor blades are fitted with handles for
transport and positioning/removal. These handles are used for
locking said elements inside the print head as well.
CRISP.DOT TECHNOLOGYMPS Crisp.Dot technology, which features a non-driven
impression roller, ensures friction free print momentum.
As a result, the print dot retains its round shape, dot gain
is minimized, ink coverage is solid, and small fonts are
sharper. Besides ensuring consistent print quality, this allows
for printing even the most demanding quality labels, flexible
packaging, or folding cartons. Operators will be even more proud
of the work they deliver.

TALK TO ME − THE NEXT STEP IN CONNECTIVITY
In the printing industry as well as anywhere else in modern
business, connectivity continues to develop into a factor by
which future success is measured. That is why MPS developed
an innovative means of promoting the exchange of information
between MPS printing presses and its surroundings. MPS
presses can now be linked to pre-press and post-press systems
as well as to ERP or Management Information Systems (MIS).
Labelled talk to me, this MPS innovation is essentially a protocol
that allows for real-time data exchange − hence, control − at
any given moment.
THE NEXT STEP IN CONNECTIVITYWe developed a new protocol for exchanging data between
Management Information Systems and MPS printing
presses. By constantly being able to communicate with
the printing press operators will optimize their performance
and, in the process, enjoy increased job satisfaction.
Talk to me provides “anytime, anywhere” functionality.
