TheOregonStatePoliceinconjunctionwiththeJosephineCountyMajorCrimesTeamisinvestigatingadoublehomicidewhichoccurrednorthofGrantsPassonMonday.

AccordingtoDetectiveSergeantJeffFitzgerald,onJune15th,2015,atapproximately3:25PM,JosephineCounty911receivedareportofapossibledeceasedpersonataresidenceintheColonialValleyareajustnorthofGrantsPass.OSPtroopersanddetectives,alongwiththeJosephineCountySheriff'sOfficerespondedtotheaddresswheretheylocatedthebodiesofJerryJACKSON,age75andJoannJACKSON,age73whobothappearedtobethevictimofhomicidalviolence.

TheJosephineCountyMajorCrimesTeam,consistingofmembersfromtheOregonStatePolice,JosephineCountySheriff'sOffice,GrantsPassDepartmentofPublicSafetyandtheJosephineCountyDistrictAttorney'sOfficewasactivatedtoinvestigate,withtheOregonStatePolicedesignatedastheleadinvestigatingagency.

Asuspect,identifiedasBrianScottKILLIAN,age28,ofGrantsPasswastakenintocustodyataseparatelocationinJosephineCounty.KillianwaslodgedattheJosephineCountyJailon8countsofAggravatedMurder,UnlawfulUseofaWeapon,2countsofAnimalAbuseinthe1stDegree,RobberyintheFirstDegree,Robberyinthe3rdDegree,2countsofBurglaryintheFirstDegree,AttemptedAssaultinthe2ndDegree,UnlawfulUseofaMotorVehicle,AttemptedUnlawfulUseofaMotorVehicle,RecklessDrivingandRecklessEndangering.

Theinvestigationintothisincidentisstillcontinuingandnofurtherinformationwillbereleasedatthistime.AllmediainquiriesshouldbedirectedtotheJosephineCountyDistrictAttorney'sOffice.
