Accredited Chest Pain CenterNamed as an accredited chest pain center by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care, AHGL has met the society’s strict requirements for treatment facility design to specialized training of emergency personnel and timely diagnosis and treatment, including angioplasty.
The Joint CommissionAccredited by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in the United States, AHGL is recognized as a Advanced Primary Stroke Center and Joint Replacement Center (for hip and knee). The hospital was also named Top Performer on Key Quality Measures® for exemplary performance in using evidence-based clinical processes to improve care.
Designated Blue Distinction CentersSpine surgery is designated a proud Blue Distinction Center, a national designation demonstrating expertise in quality, specialized care focused on improved patient health, safety and cost efficiency measures.

Stroke Center Of ExcellenceAHGL is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Advanced Primary Stroke Center, reflecting the highest level of treatment of the most serious stroke events. AHGL is the first hospital in California to receive the DNV- GL certification and has exceeded patient safety standards set forth by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Brain Attack Coalition and the American Stroke Association.
Voted ‘Best Hospital’ 2016For the third year in a row, AHGL was recognized as the “Best Hospital” in Glendale by the Glendale News-Press Readers’ Choice award. The survey is distributed each year throughout the Glendale area for the most number of votes by the entire community.

Beacon of Excellence NursingAmerican Association of Critical-Care Nurses awarded AHGL’s intensive care, surgical intensive care and coronary intensive care units with the silver-level Beacon Award for Excellence, recognizing nurses who improve patient outcomes.
Heart Attack Care TeamAHGL is designated a STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) Receiving Center. This designation, given by L.A. County’s Emergency Medical Services, recognizes hospitals that are specially equipped and staffed for the rapid, quality care of heart attack patients.

Medicare and Medicaid Top RankingAHGL was ranked 4 out of 5 stars by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), placing us in the top 20% of hospitals in California for overall quality of care. A four-star rating was given to only ten hospitals out of 57 rated hospitals within a 25-mile radius of AHGL.
