• Latin grammar, English derivatives

• Discuss Roman culture

• Show how Latin is used throughout our culture

Grading Breakdown

• Homework/Classwork• Chapter quizzes• Unit Test and Project (1 each per

quarter)

• Participation

• Given time in class to get started to get extra help from me or other students

• Plays a vital and pivotal role in each student’s success in class

• Randomly collected each week and graded on effort and completion

Quizzes

• A quiz can be expected after each chapter

• Based on bell-ringers, grammar, vocabulary, derivatives, and culture

Unit Tests and Projects

• At least one unit test each quarter– Usually about 4 chapters– Includes content of quizzes

• At least one quarter project each quarter

• Projects will be based on Roman culture, pop culture, and Latin grammar
