The Margaret Angus Research Fellowship from 2001 explores the development and uses of plants and botanicals in medicine and also their decline in the medical sphere. Specifically this study explores some of the key factors which influenced the near extinction of plant drugs in between 1900 and 1940 because of new clinical understandings of the nature of diseases and effective medical therapy and pharmaceuticals such as those produced by Parke- Davis & Co.
