Colossians 1:10

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the

knowledge of God;

αυξανω – “increasing”

auxanoowx-an'-oA prolonged form of a primary verb; to grow (“wax”), that is, enlarge (literally or figuratively, actively or passively): - grow (up), (give the) increase.

επιγνωσις – “knowledge”

epignosisip-ig'-no-sisrecognition, that is, full discernment, acknowledgement:

We are to “enlarge” our

“discernment” of God!

Psalm 119:32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my

heart.

”Run“ – רוץ

rutsrootsA primitive root; to run : - break down, divide speedily, footman, guard, bring hastily, (make) run (away, through), post, stretch out.

”Way“ – דרך

derekdeh'-reka road (as trodden); figuratively a course of life or mode of action

”Commandments“ – מצוה

mitsvahmits-vaw'a command, whether human or divine (collectively the Law): - (which was) commanded (-ment), law, ordinance, precept.

”Enlarge“ – רחב

rachabraw-khab 'to broaden, make room, make (open) wide.

Growth comes from an intimate relationship with

Jesus Christ.

How is this best accomplished?

2Peter 3:18

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord

and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and

for ever. Amen.

Colossians 2:7

Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with

thanksgiving.

εποικοδομεω – “Built Up”

epoikodomeoep-oy-kod-om-eh'-oto build upon, that is, to rear up: - build thereon (thereupon, on, upon).

βεβαιοω – “Stablished”

bebaioobeb-ah-yo'-oto stabilitate: - confirm, (e-) stablish.
