PURPOSE OF PRESENTATION & PROJECT INTRODUCTION

SR 2065, Section A09 (Larimer Avenue) Project

The purpose of this presentation is to introduce the project to the public, gather feedback, and present the construction staging

The purpose of the project is to reestablish the roadway.

PROPOSED PROJECT IMPROVEMENTS

The project includes a landslide located on Larimer Avenue.

The project will impact both lanes, spanning a length of approximately 685 ft.

The proposed repair is the Geotechnical treatment of pipe dowels and the application of a GRS (Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil) slope to the failed areas.

Roadway construction will also be applied within the failure area.

The road will be closed and traffic will be detoured during construction. The detour will utilize Rodi Road to Business 22 to SR 376 to SR 130.

Construction anticipated to begin late-July 2019 and be completed by November 2019.

NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY ACT (NEPA)

Public outreach begins with the NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) process:

NEPA requires agencies to integrate environmental values into their decision-making processes by considering the environmental impacts of their proposed actions and reasonable alternatives to those actions

NEPA also includes public involvement activities and gathering feedback from the public
