Region V or Bicol Region is situated at the southernmost tip of the Luzon landmass. Located in the eastern seaboard of the country, it is prone to typhoons coming from the Western North Pacific Ocean. The Region is bounded by Lamon Bay to the North, Pacific to the East and Sibuyan Sea and Ragay Gulf to the West. The Northernmost province, Camarines Norte is bordered to the north with the province of Quezon, thereby connecting the region to the rest of Luzon. The region is also home to 3 active volcanoes namely Bulusan in Sorsogon, Iriga in Camarines Sur and Mayon in Albay.
