PICTOGRAPHS

A Pictograph is a graph that uses pictures or symbols to show and compare data.

A Key is the part of a pictograph that tells what quantity each symbol stands for.

There are many animals that are in trouble. We are called endangered animals. I will be using pictographs to show you how serious our problem is!!

There are only 3,500 Florida Manatees. The major cause of death is accidents with boats.

Only 2,500 Black Rhinos are alive today.

At the turn of the century, there were around 45,000 Bengal tigers in India. At present there are fewer than 2,500 Bengal tigers living in the wild.

There are 4,000 Eastern Imperial

Eagles today.

O.K., now let’s put all of this data about my endangered friends in a pictograph!!
