As a congregation of compassionate care and community leadership, we continue to ask that worshipers wear face coverings at Second. In so doing, we honor our commitment to the health of all, particularly children, and our shared call to value the vulnerable among us.

Call to Confession
Silent Confession
Prayer of Confession
Almighty and loving God, you created us to love you, worship you, and serve you. But our sinfulness tarnishes the beauty and perfection of your creation. We are hard-hearted and indifferent toward your kingdom. We easily forget your call to love you and your people with all our heart, soul, and might. Forgive us for being preoccupied with ourselves and not fulfilling our call to fully surrender and serve you. Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit in us. Amen.

Sermon Rev. Christopher A. Henry
“Bring What You Have” "Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke the loaves,
and gave them to his disciples to set before the people; and he divided the two fish among them all." (Mark 6:41)
Moment of Silent Meditation
We Give Thanks to God
* Affirmation of Faith (Confession of 1967, 9.07) Beth C. Douglass
In Jesus Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself. We confess that Jesus Christ is God with us. He is the eternal Son of the Father, who became human and lived among us to fulfill the work of reconciliation. He is present in the church by the power of the Holy Spirit to continue and complete his mission. This work of God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, is the foundation of all we confess about God, humanity, and the world. Therefore, the church calls all people to be reconciled to God and to one another. Amen.
Invitation to Discipleship and Generosity
Offertory Down by the Riverside arr. Daniel Kallman Greg Imboden, alto saxophone (b. 1956)
Prayers of the People and The Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
