YOUR EMERGENCY PLAN
SHOULD INCLUDE: There are several things your emergency planshould include:
• Save a set of contact information that is organized by unit.
• A searchable directory stored virtually will be easierto search and maintain than a paper directory.Consider a shared file that can be accessed by allmembers of the HOA during an emergency.

• Evacuation routes, including alternative routes in case the usual ones aren't safe.
• A physical inventory of any structures or spaces that are considered association property.

vendors for coming in after the “all clear is given.”✓Assign an area for post-
emergency debris.

✓Acquire battery-powered walkie-talkies in the event cells phone service is not operational.

✓Create a script for the association’s voicemail with details about how residents should respond in the event of an emergency.
✓ Develop relationships with your local emergency responders.

✓If you have prior knowledge of an incoming disaster, such as a hurricane, keep the community informed of the before, during, and after the event.
✓Discuss with your employees their responsibility in the event of an emergency and what their responsibilities are in the event of an emergency evacuation.
