Cartoons are a Tool for Marketing

Cartoons are the most frequent and easily

accessible source of entertainment which we

provide to our children.

With the vastness of media and extension of

channels, it has become easier for children to

watch their favorite cartoons on a single

click and at the same time it has become

more convenient for parents to provide

children with this all-time favorite activity of

theirs.

Time which was previously spent by children in outdoor activities is now replaced, as now they can be found glued to the TV sets for long hours, peering at all sorts of cartoons,

Mostly without the supervision of elders who are completely unaware that this might have certain effects on their psychological development later on displayed in their behavior patterns.

We conducted a research on the effects of cartoon on

children in which we analyzed how the animated characters

& the story lines of the cartoon films shaping the behavior

of our young generation. We analyzed how animated

cartoon characters have the impact on children, also how

much a child spent time in front of the TV that leads to

useful ideas of educating our young generation using their

favorite cartoons.

It opens the doors of opportunity for marketers.

Also, we analyzed the proportion of cartoon viewership

among children & adults as well as in terms of gender

oriented.

Using the questionnaire as a tool of data

collection we gather the respondent's answers &

thoroughly concluded our findings based on

insights that we came to know from

respondents.

Our Sample size was 50 for this research.

Parent’s responsibility:

Keep their eye on children’s activities.

After reviewing all the evidence, we have concluded that cartoons have

negative impact on children. There are consequences for children who

watch all kinds of cartoons from fantasy to more realistic cartoons.

They effect children by in some cases

Teaching Anti-social behavior or

Reinforcing aggression

These acts of aggression & anti-social behavior starts at a very early age

and continue into adulthood.

Cartoons are an important factor in helping or harming healthy

psychological development in young children and into the future.
