DO YOU KNOW WHAT AN ADJECTIVE IS?An adjective is a describing

word It can describes the following:

It helps describing

people

places

things

In other word they describe nouns.

In most sentences it goes

before the word it describes the

noun.

It can also come after the verb.

EXAMPLE OF ADJECTIVES

shinysunny

bright brown

red four

We can use them in such a mannerHe is wearing a shiny red track suite.

Shinny red is an adjective.

Track suite is a noun. John runs faster than all the boys.

faster is an adjective.

runs is a verb.

DEGREES OF ADJECTIVES:

Adjectives can express degree of modification:

The degrees of comparison are known as the

The comparative and superlative show degrees;

Comparative for comparing two things.

Superlative for comparing three things.

Examples of degrees

Notice that the word than frequently accompanies the comparative and the word the precedes the superlative
