Lifecycle:

Status:Occasional in the city area,More common in country areas

Larval Food plants:Nettles (Urtica spp)

Rearing Notes:Protect from Birds & Wasps

Yellow Admiral [Kahu Kowhai](Vanessa itea)

Lifecycle:

Status:Increasing in the city area (but still rare),Common in country areas

Larval Food plants:Nettles (Urtica spp)

Rearing Notes:Protect from Birds & Wasps

Common Blue [Pepe Ao Uri](Zizina otis labradus)

Lifecycle:

Status:Small populations in the city area,Widespread in country areas

Larval Food plants:Clovers (Trifolium spp) & Trefoils (Lotus spp)

Rearing Notes:Have a meadow area, encouraging Clovers & Trefoils

Larval Food plants:Gorse (Ulex spp), Broom (Cytisus spp), Peas & Beans

Rearing Notes:The larva hides in the seed pod.

Status:Rare in city area,Common in country areas
