There are 4 intercom ‘isolation’ modes:

PILOT – pilot aloneCOPLT – co-pilot alone

(remember SEAT 2/3 switch?)Both selected – CREWNeither selected – OFF

Passengers can always talk among themselves, and can talk to ‘crew’ as well, unless isolation is selected

Failures• “Onside” COM for that panel as Primary

• Pilot – COM1• Co-Pilot – COM2

• Whoever is the CO-PILOT selected position

• Additional Receive only option• Pilot – COM2• Co-Pilot – COM1

PFD/MFD Failures• Reversionary Mode – MFD reverts to PFD in the event of total PFD failure

• Individual Component failure – PFD displays invalid/incorrect information with a RED X

• Reference System• Air Data Computer• Integrated Avionics (including Engine Analyzer)• Engine Analyzer only

• Audio Panel specifics

• “Onside” COM for that panel as Primary• Pilot – COM1• Co-Pilot – COM2

Sometimes we DO just have to use the brute force method!

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!
