I had the great pleasure of work with five models and actors in one day doing their headshots for castings and their portfolios. Although this was a great day, it was very hard work. I had one hour with each client, which is tight in any circumstance but team that up with some models needing to leave early, turning up late or not turning up at all, made the day very hard. Thankfully though I work best under pressure and managed to pull off a great days worth of shooting, with images used for Spotlight and various castings. Great day if you ask me!!

Working with clients of all sorts is great but working with actors or models has a different kind of pressure. Why? Because they are relying on your images to get them work. So as a photographer, you have to get everything right from lighting, focal length, composition, and so on.

If you could imagine the first thing a casting director see’s before the audition is your image, that’s a lot of pressure!

Working with clients is all about getting them to trust you and your vision. Normally I would have a Mac that shows the images straight away, however sometimes for speed the back of the camera will do.
