A CAMP FOR EVERY KIDSimply put, that is our goal. Your camper is unique, with their own diverse interests, abundant skills and untapped potential. We’ve created camps with that in mind, designed specifically to keep your child active, engaged, learning, exploring and connected to their friends and the community during the summer months.
We have camps for the kid who loves to study bugs, get their hands dirty and discover nature. Or a camp for the aspiring athlete who is passionate about being active, playing games and improving their skills. We have camps for the creative spirit who loves to perform, design, paint, write and express themselves. For kids who embrace the traditional summer camps experience, our summer day camps offer crafts, games, field trips, new experiences and more.
A Little Extra Something (Besides Fun!)Of course we want our campers to have fun but camps also offer a extra benefits that last through childhood into college life, careers and adulthood. Research shows that camp experiences are distinct from other learning environments because kids learn skills at camp that they do not learn in the same way in school. Did you know summer camps:
Provide opportunities for children to discover and explore their talents and interests in a low pressure atmosphere;
Create experiences that meet children’s need for physical activity and team participation in a community environment;
Develop self-confidence by offering opportunities to learn, contribute and overcome obstacles;
Cultivate problem solving skills, personal responsibility and social maturity;
Promote the value of physical activity and healthy lifestyles in a daily atmosphere of fun and learning;
Offer opportunities for creative expression in an unconventional and fun learning environment.
Changing the World —One Camper at a TimeOne of the main reasons our qualified and caring staff keep coming back to camp is because they feel like they are making a difference in kids’ lives. How do we know this? They’ve told us!
“I can’t break my favorite aspect of being a camp counselor down to just one aspect. I like the general overall experience of watching the kids grow over time and become a better person.” — Paul
“I like being a camp counselor because I get to teach kids new things and be a positive role model.” — Tracy
“I just love that it’s something new every day. The kids are learning, I’m learning. It’s full of energy and every day is a blast.” — Cheree
“My favorite part of being a camp counselor is definitely working with the kids. Getting to know the kids and watching them grow and learn and figure out things for themselves.” — Alex
“I like meeting kids from different backgrounds and getting to know them. I get to hear their stories and help them build their future. That’s awesome.” — Taylor

Sports Fun CampWe have changed up Sports Fun Camp in 2019 and divided it into two sections. This year we will have Junior Camp for 6 to 9-year-olds and Senior Camp for 10 to 13-year-olds. However, please understand that these groups may be combined for large-scale games or if numbers are low for one week of camp. As in years past, the Kettering Recreation Complex will be our home base! A variety of sports will be offered throughout the week with this camp (as well as gymnasium-based games/activities) by our Youth Sports Team! We will go swimming two to three days a week and play in the woods and local playgrounds! All activities will be recreation-based with no prior sports experience necessary. Participants should bring a sack lunch (lunch is noon to 12:30 p.m. each day), plenty of water and dress for the day’s weather as some activities will be outside! Each participant will receive a camp T-shirt and 2 water park coupons to Adventure Reef Water Park, good for the whole summer. Keep your child active all summer; enroll them in our Sports Fun Camps where healthy activity and sports fun will take place all day long! *No camp on May 27 or July 4.
