Ms. Butt has been a teacher and an administrator at Arlington Catholic High School for the past fifteen years. Father Flatley is confident that Ms. Butt and her administrative team and staff will continue the rich traditions of Arlington Catholic High School.

Parish Pilgrimage to the Cathedral, Labor Day 2016 Don’t miss out on this important event in which we,
as a Parish, will mark the Jubilee Year of Mercy We expect the devotions at the Cathedral will last from noon to around 2:00 PM; those riding will be returned to Saint Agnes Church by about 2:45 PM

Boston Sock Exchange Ministry serves our homeless brothers and sisters on Boston Common on the second Saturday of each month. Please bring men’s and women’s seasonally-appropriate clothing donations to the bin at the back of the Church or to the
Parish Center. We need zip-top sandwich bags , juice boxes, Gatorade, or other individual-sized non-carbonated drinks . We have enough water thanks to your generous donations. Join us in the Parish Center next Friday, September 9 at 7:00 PM. to prepare sandwiches and to help organize donations. We need volunteers to help with distribution next Saturday, September 10 at 11:00 AM on Boston Common. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Our Adult Choir will resume leading the music at the 10:30 AM Mass on Sunday September 11. If you’ve been thinking about singing with the choir, come and sit in on a Tuesday evening rehearsal in the upper Church choir loft, 7:00 PM-

Saint Agnes School opened for the 128th time on August 29, welcoming 55 new families. While students went to homeroom, Father Graham led the opening prayer for the parents. Mr. Penta spoke to the parents about the Saint Agnes School Family Association, the school lunch service and his plans for the year.

Saint Agnes School welcomes new teachers : Margaret Kilpatrick , Grade 4, earned her Bachelor and Master degrees from the University of New Hampshire. Melissa Giddings , Grade 8, has a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Northeastern University. Jane Mauriello , Spanish, holds a Bachelor of Education from Salem State University in Elementary Education and Spanish. Amelia Jenison , Music, earned a Bachelor of Music from DePauw University in Indiana and a Master of Music from the New England Conservatory of Music. John DeMeo , Assistant Teacher, Learning Center, a former Saint Agnes student, holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Lesley University and is working towards a Master of Education in Middle School Math. Ellie Bartholomew , Assistant Teacher-Grade 1, has a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Jack Woods , Physical Education, brings much experience from his coaching in the Arlington Public Schools and his work at Fidelity House.

nastics, Tot Programs, Boys and Girls Intramural Basketball, Cooking, Instructional Soccer, Kickball, Archery, and many other programs are being of-fered. Program ideas are always welcome. Meeting Christ in Prayer , an 8-week guided prayer experience based on the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius, is offered by The Office of Spiritual Life at The Pastoral Center, 66 Brooks Drive, Braintree on Wednesday Evenings, September 21-November 9, 2016, 7:00-8:15 PM. 35th Annual Lawn Party to benefit Seminarians Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary in Weston is hosting its 35th Annual Lawn Party on Wednesday, September 28, at 6:00 P.M, on the grounds of the seminary. This
premiere fundraising event is hosted this year by Bishop Robert Reed. The evening will include a reception and dinner with music. Located on Route 30 in Weston, the seminary prepares second career candidates, men over the age of 30, for priesthood. The proceeds from the Lawn Party help to keep tuition costs affordable.
