Arthur Thompson, Former Official Dies; Rites Monday

Funeral services are to be Con­ducted Monday for Arthur R.. Thompson, former commissioner of public works for the City of Syra­cuse and a 32d degree Mason, who died of a heart attack Friday night at. his. home. Rites will be con-rlal home at 2 P.M. by the Rev. Dr. Calvin M. Thompson, Jr., of Dela­ware Street Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. Thompson suffered a stroke three years ago and since had been in poor health. He died an hour after he was stricken last night

He was a member of Central City Lodge 305, F. and A. M. His father, Aaron R. Thompson, also was commissioner of public works,
