Six Steps of Anchoring

1.Determine the desired state.

2.Choose a specific, unique stimulus or anchor.

Six Steps of Anchoring

3.Have the person recall a past vivid experience.

Can you remember a time when you were totally "X’d"? (X = the desired state.)

Can you remember a specific time?

As you go back to that time now ... go right back to that time, float down into your body and see what you saw, hear what you heard, and really feel the feelings of being totally "X’d".

Six Steps of Anchoring

1. Anchor (Provide) a specific stimulus at the peak (see chart above)

2. Smell the Essential Oil

3. Break State and Change the person’s state

4. Evoke the desired State Trigger the anchor (Smell the Essential Oil)to test.

Stacking Anchors

Can be used to create a powerful resource for your clients

Using multiple states, anchor each one individually to the SAME place.
