SMH & MH SeriesThe SMH and MH motor series developed and produced by
Parker Hannifin EMD have been optimised for a range of appli-
cations -
♦ Highly-dynamic machines and systems such as packaging
machines, presses and automatic assembly lines.
♦ Applications with accurately-synchronised processes..
The important basis for this is the high-quality neodymium-
iron-boron magnets that are used.
All motors are designed using high-quality neodymium-iron-
boron magnets.
SMH synchronous servo motors offer an impressive perfor-
mance – even the smallest motor, the SMH 60, produces a stall
torque of 1.4 Nm. SMH motors come with a smooth surface
finish and a recessed mounting flange. Retained contamina-
tion is thereby kept to a minimum and the installation of a gear-
box is considerably simplified. Special options ensure that the
motor can be easily adapted to suit a variety of applications.
These options include:
♦ Motor poles: 8
♦ Static holding brake.
♦ B5 and B8 flanges
♦ SinCos single turn encoder.
♦ SinCos multiturn absolute encoder.
The MH series have a finned housing and cover an exception-
ally wide performance range. With the availability of a compre-
hensive range of options, they can be adapted to suit a large
number of applications.
Options available include:
♦ Motor poles: MH56/70: 4; MH105/145/205: 8
♦ Static holding brake.
♦ B5, B6, B9 and B14 flanges.
♦ Alternative rotor inertias.
♦ Passive and fan-assisted cooling.
♦ ‘Ex’-protection.
♦ SinCos single turn encoder.
♦ SinCos multiturn absolute encoder.
