• Monitor Falcon Case Alerts

• Watch for redundancies

BIN Level Blocks

• When to remove?

• Fraud has “moved on”

• Need to add criteria for new fraud

• Cardholder impact on valid activity

• Monitor SSR100 Cardholder Exception Journal

• Monitor Falcon case alert emails

• May not need to remove blocks not impacting valid activity – China, Hong Kong, Turkey, etc.

BIN Level Blocks

• May be added immediately to avoid fraud• Must provide 30-day notice for proactive alerts

• Blocking all non-US, for example

• Blocks are intended to prevent fraud, not control how cardholders use card

• PAN Blocks• PAN Exclusions

When to apply:• Use when BIN blocks are preventing valid cardholder

activity

• Revert back to BIN level settings

• Use when you want to restrict certain activity for just one PAN

• Internet, reoccurring purchases

• Monthly fee is minimal, but can add up!

• New product announced 6/28/17• Allows cardholders to block specific

transactions• Internet • International• Over certain dollar amount

• Cardholder will receive an alert if an attempt is made and declined

• How does this work with SHAZAM Card Block?

BOLT$ Cardholder Transaction Blocks

If a cardholder places Transaction Blocks in BOLT$:

• If cardholder setting is BIN level, BIN blocks also apply

BOLT$ Cardholder Transaction Blocks

If a cardholder places Transaction Blocks in BOLT$:

• If cardholder is at PAN level, PAN blocks also apply

BOLT$ Cardholder Transaction Blocks

If a cardholder attempts to place Transaction Blocks in BOLT$:

• If a financial institution has a cardholder Excluded from BIN blocks, the cardholder will not be able to set Transaction Blocks in BOLT$

• Financial institution will need to set PAN at either the BIN or PAN setting in order for the cardholder to set blocks in BOLT$

• If cardholder has BOLT$ Transaction blocks in place and FI does PAN Exclusion, cardholder blocks are eliminated

• Financial institution has ability to add the BOLT$ Transaction blocks in SHAZAM Access, but should use caution• FI will incur higher billing• Cardholder can override
