Today we listened to the song “El Condor Pasa (if I could)”, performed by Simon & Garfunkel.

The original “El Condor Pasa” song is a Peruvian song written in 1913 and based on traditional Andean folk music.

Paul Simon wrote new lyrics and included the song in the classic 1970 LP “Bridge over troubled water”, which was Simon & Garfunkel’s fifth and last record.

Simon & Garfunkel were an American folk-rock duo consisting of guitarist/singer-songwriter Paul Simon and singer Art Garfunkel.

The duo recorded many beautiful songs during their activity between 1963 and 1970, among which there are: The sound of silence, Mrs. Robinson, Kathy’s song, Homeward bound, America, The only living boy in New York, Bridge over troubled water, The Boxer, The 59° street bridge song (Feelin’ groovy), Scarborough Fair, For Emily, Old Friends.
