Cryogenic mills which chill samples to liquid nitrogen temperatures (-196C)
Magnetically driven impactor is the only moving part
No mechanical linkages or bearings to fail
Grinding vials are sealed so sample integrity is maintained during grinding cycle
Equip with speed control, programmable timer, and safety interlock.
Sample sizes from 0.1g to 50g

Integral LN reservoir maintains cryogenic temperatures Programmable LCD Touch Screen Controls Multiple User Memory Settings The only mill to grind samples in LN. This ensures optimum
sample brittleness for best results Has integral pre-cooling positions (reduced LN consumption,
safe storage of ground samples, no external chilling equipment needed)
Auto-fill option (6870 only)- time saving and increased safety Low cost vials with easy sample extraction-important for
forensic and pharma customers who need disposable vials Several vial options, micro vials, regular, mid size and large

New CPSC Guidelines for Determination of Phthalates in Plastics
Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) standard operating procedure for determining phthalates in plastics in children’s toys
Operating procedure recommends the use of cryogenic grinding to prepare samples
– Cryogenic grinding can pulverize samples down to a fine powder of less than 500 microns
– Creates homogenous sample with a larger surface area improving the extraction process.
