Road residence is a Converted Stone Carriage

Barn, imbued with an old-world aesthetic. Dat-

ing back to 1910, it was designed by New York

architects Maynicke and Frank as part of Cedar

Knoll Farm. When the structure was converted

to a residence, many original details were care-

fully incorporated into the design. All rooms

are beautifully proportioned and have fabulous

light. High ceilings, original barn doors and

beams enhance the design and architecture.

A portico covers the main entrance. The front

door opens to the Entry Hall. Details include a

terra cotta tile floor, a coat closet, original wain-

scoting and wrought-iron work and a rear door

to the terrace. To the left is the Living Room.

An impressive 40’ x26’ in size, it features a 12’8”

ceiling, a brick floor, a stone fireplace and old barn

doors. To the right of the Entry lies the Formal

Dining Room. The Dining room has a chair rail

and a wood parquet floor. A hallway off of the

Dining Room leads to an Office and a Full Bath.

Across from the Dining Room is the spacious,

renovated Kitchen. The Kitchen has a Breakfast
