FR DWIGHT’S MESSAGE
“SUNDAY IS THE LORD’S DAY;
NOT THE LORD’S HOUR!”
He ASCENDED into heaven...
And is seated at the right hand of the Father...
The Church triumphant celebrates the most wonderful Feast of the Ascension of Our Lord. Our Lord Jesus left
us to take His seat at the right hand of God His Father. The resurrected Jesus was taken up to Heaven in his
resurrected body, in the presence of eleven of His apostles, occurring 40 days after the resurrection. Luke 24:50-
52 describes the Ascension as follows: “And he led them out until [they were] over against Bethany: and he lifted
up his hands, and blessed them. And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was carried
up into heaven. And they worshiped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.”
He left us absolutely equipped with every gift of the Gospel, every blessing of the Faith and the anointing of the
Holy Spirit. Jesus now lives in glory BUT... He has not left us. He is ALWAYS with us and intimately so. We
are NEVER ALONE because Jesus Christ promises us that He is with us always to the end of time. And He is
with every one of us who profess faith in Jesus Christ and yearn to have Him as the Lord of our lives. Christ has
one wish in His heart for us - that we fall deeply in love with Jesus Christ. The voices of the world strive to si-
lence the love of God with all its might; yet the peace of God that passes all understanding overcomes the din to
purify his love’s affect and effect on the human soul. We stand shoulder to shoulder, brother and sister, old and
young to announce the most sublime of messages - LOVE IS ALWAYS WITH US IN JESUS CHRIST!!
******************************************************************************************
