To the Parishioners of St. Francis Xavier, Nativity of Our Lady, and all Students and Staff at SFX Catholic School, THANK YOU!
As my time in Brunswick comes to an end, I praise and thank God for the opportunity to be with y’all during my pastoral assignment. I am grateful for the many blessings and wonderful experiences of getting to know,
pray with, and grow in faith with this community.
I am humbled by the hospitality and genuine love that y’all have given me. This experience has truly been a gift and the Lord has strengthened and confirmed His desire in my heart to serve the Diocese of Savannah as His priest in the near future. I could not begin to explain how much I’ve learned from you and the ways
that the Lord has been so generous to me through this journey.
In a particular way, I want to thank Fr. Tim, Fr. Chris, Deacon Larry, Dr. Mermann, Mrs. Marisol, the wonderful 8th Grade Students, and all the Parish and School Faculty and Staff. All of the hard work that each
of you contributes to this community is reflected in ways seen and unseen, that make this environment of faith a place to grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Thank you for your patience and mercy
toward me.
This summer, I will spend some time in Augusta with my family before returning to Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in the Fall for my last year of seminary formation. Lord willing, I will be ordained to the priesthood
in June 2019 and return to the Diocese of Savannah for priestly ministry.
May the Lord Jesus bless each of you and please know that you will remain in my prayers. I will always cherish these memories and l look forward to the next time when I am able to come and visit!
My last weekend at Nativity of Our Lady will be June 2 & 3.
My last weekend at St. Francis Xavier will be June 9 & 10.
I would love to hear from you. Please, stay in touch!

We have been blessed by the service of Deacon Patrick
this entire school year. He has taught 8thgrade Religion,
assisted with RCIA and Youth Group, preached, and
served in many other ways. I would like to take up a col-
lection to assist him in travelling to the Holy Land. Every
year his seminary takes a trip at Christmas time. He
would be able to participate in the trip as a deacon in his
final year of seminary. If you would like to contribute
please make out a check to SFX and memo it Deacon Pat-
rick gift or Deacon Patrick Holy Land. We will put together
all of the funds and hopefully cover the cost the trip. His
last Masses at NOL are June 2 & 3. His last Masses at SFX
are June 9 & 10.
Please consider bringing canned goods to
mass next week. Especially helpful are pop-top
cans that people can open without an opener.
Meats, tuna fish and peanut butter and crack-
ers are good protein items. We are grateful for
your help. Please check the expiration dates
before donating. We cannot distribute out of
date items.

For those who due to age or disability need easy ac-cess to the church, please park in front of the church, being sure not to block the handicap ramp in front of church. Thank you!

Pentecost
The Monday after Pentecost is observed as
“Pentecost Monday” or the “Second Day of
Pentecost” in many places, with a proper
liturgy for the day. Pope Francis has
declared it as Mary “Mother of the Church”
Day. We will celebrate Mass at 7 p.m.
Monday night.
“O God, hear our prayer and let our cry come unto You.
Bless our Diocese of Savannah with many voca-tions to the priesthood, diaco-nate, and religious life.
Give the men and women You call the light to understand Your gift and the love to follow always in the footsteps of Your priestly Son. Amen.”
