1. Tron-esque styling to portray the element of
competition. Head to head. Colour choice ties in
with the London 2012 Olympics.
2. The experiment required the game’s design to be
as simple as possible, so nothing distracted the
user from their task. Clean lines and bold colours
ensured a minimalist, yet exciting style.
3. Emotion is a key factor within the experiment.
Would varying emotions of the opposition
increase the pressure and affect the participant’s
own results?
4.
Once a participant completes the experiment, they receive personalised feedback and results from sporting
legend Michael Johnson. An individual’s unique results need to be overlaid using Flash and so close
collaboration between design and Flash was essential for seamless visuals that retained the look and feel of
the experiment. Our developers had to work with all possible outcomes of the experiment to ensure a totally
bespoke result.
5. As well as video, results are also provided within a text format. Each set of results is illustrated to match the
theme of the location they are being given in e.g. in a locker room or from the track. These results provide the
participant with a complete story of their performance and additional animation of certain results ensure they
are relayed to the participant in an engaging manner. Considered design guarantees the same strong, stylistic
theme is retained throughout the project.
6.
Look and feel: Strong, atmospheric photography.
Raw, gritty textures. Floodlights reiterate the ‘all
eyes on you’, pressure element of the test. Clear
links to sport and the 2012 Olympics.
