YoumustcompleteJPN101priortotravel.Youalsoneedtocomplete15+creditsandallremedialcoursespriortoapplication.Aminimum2.5+GPAisrequired.AllstudentsmustcompleteanapplicationandbeapprovedbytheStudyAbroadCoordinator(Prof.DarrenPetronella),andwillbesubjecttojudicialreviewanddisciplinaryclearancebytheDeanofStudentsOffice.

SummerBeginningJapaneseII(JPN102)isanintensivelanguageandculturecourse.ThistravelversionofthecourserequiresoneweekofpreparatorystudyontheNCCcampusand15daysoftravelinJapan.YouwillexploreKanazawa,Kyoto,andTokyo.

ExplorethreecitiesKanazawaisnotwell-knowntoforeigners;however,itshistoricalstructuresandtownscapesareadmiredbymanyJapanese.Youwillspend7daysinthisculturallyrichcityandlearnthelanguageskillsbyinteractingwithlocalpopulation.
