Who we are: Subsea Tooling Services -
What We Do
STS have created a unique fleet of high Performance Subsea
Tooling Packages, our Dredging equipment which is not only
designed and manufactured to the highest quality and safety
standards but has also been field proven over the last three years
on over 220 projects.
Furthermore STS specialize in providing project solution based
engineering to our clients, focused primarily on IRM we work
together with our clients delivering “Fit for Purpose” tooling
solutions that work first time.
To compliment the above ethos, STS has created a subsea tooling
package to address specifically the removal of subsea control
umbilical's in a safe, efficient and environmentally friendly
manner.
Introduction
Umbilical Removal/Replacement
Historically the majority of offshore production platforms were
manufactured with a number of “J” Tubes fixed within the platform
jackets. These tubes provided the conduit for subsea production umbilical's,
power lines and various other services.
Due to either the age or unserviceability of some of these umbilical's and a
need to add more control capabilities subsea, there is now a requirement to
replace some of these umbilicals.
STS has developed a subsea tooling system which allows the removal of
these umbilical’s and/or services using a safe, controlled and efficient
method. The system consists of our Umbilical Removal tool, 360o Subsea
Hydraulic Winch, Intelligent Subsea Control Valve Pack, Project specific
Dredging Tools and Hydraulic Support equipment
