both died in the war.

Moses Austin brought the Americans to Texas.

Antonio Lopez de San Anna was the general of the Mexicans in

the war.

WhatThe Mexicans first owned Texas. Then the Americans came along, as settlers, and brought slaves with them. The Mexicans said they could not have slaves but the Americans would not agree to their rules and declared Texas a independent state. Then the settlers asked America if Texas could become part of the USA. Once the USA agreed, Mexico declared war on America.

When

In 1821 Moses Austin led the Americans to Texas. The Texas War started in 1845.

Where

The war was between the USA and Mexico over Texas. In the end America won and we gained Texas as another state.

Why

The settlers of America came to Texas for many reasons. They wanted to explore, have more space, and become richer.
