Dear friends and colleagues
THE AARHUS TALKS II is the second, in a planned row, of small intense, interactive meetings
between paediatricians, adult urologists and paediatric urologists to share, discuss and agree
on current issues in paediatric urology. There is an inherent need to achieve common
understanding on the nature, diagnosis, follow-up and treatment of different congenital
conditions of the urinary tract and genitalia.
This second meeting will focus on congenital vesicoureteral reflux, duplex system &
ectopic ureter, haematuria & posterior urethritis and stones.
All sessions will be introduced by a short presentation by well-known panelists, followed by an
academic dispute, interactive case discussions with the audience, thus enabling participants
discuss cases in a multidisciplinary setting. Discussions will be supported by an interactive
voting system.
Ample time for discussion is essential and will be prioritized at this meeting. The number of
participants is limited to 45.
Last but not least the meeting will be set in the stunning surroundings of Kongebrogaarden, a
small congress hotel at the coastal line of Little Belt, itself best in the gleaming colors of the
Danish autumn. The Little Belt is a strait between the island of Funen and the Jutland
Peninsula in Denmark.

Cover: The Australian artist Ron Mueck’s (b. 1958) sculpture Boy has become one of the landmarks of the ARoS Aarhus Art Museum. Measuring 4.5 meters in height and weighing in at 500 kg. On virtue of its size and life-likeness, Boy is a truly fantastic sight, and there were quite a few gaping eyes when it was first shown at the Millennium Dome in London in 2000, and later at the Venice Biennale in 2001.
Boy was purchased by ARoS in 2001.
