The Amazing British Columbia!

LOCATION

BC is Canada`s most western province, and is beside the Pacific ocean

British Columbia is the magnificent Rocky mountains in the East.

PHYSICAL FEATURES

Millions of years ago, huge folds of rocks pushed up to form mountans ranges called the Cordillera.

There are mountans, hills, plateaus, and valleys.

CLIMATE

BC has mild, rainy oceans.

Climate with certain locations receiving less then 250mm in annual precip with heavy snow falls.

REGIONS

The region for BC is the Cordillera this is a region of mountains found on the west side of Canada, next to the Pacific Ocean.

Animal Life

There are large salmon and steelnead trout.

During August and September, salmon swim up stream.

SPORTS + ACTIVITIES

The Vancouver Canucks play in the National Hockey League(NHL).They help raise money for children's health.

BC hosted many sporting events including curling, swimming and much more.

NATURAL RESOURCES

Salmon, herring ,cod, oysters, and halibut in the ocean.

Gold, copper, zink, and silver.

Forests cover more then half of the province.
