THE BOX OFFICE THE OFFICIAL DRAMATICS CLUB OF
MADRAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY CAMPUS ANNA UNIVERSITY
A REPORT
(2019-2020)
BRIEF INTRODUCTION
The Box Office is an initiative started during the winter of 2014, with a new skin, having
the young vibrant talented students of Madras Institute of Technology on mind. The Box
Office, a.k.a. TBO, is the official dramatics club of the institution which is a gateway to
unveil the talents, skills, and abilities of the students. It provides a platform to act, direct,
write, and carry out activities related to theatre and film art. This club is not only confined
with dramatics exclusively, but also, there are many skill-oriented activities organized by
the members of the club to provide the students with surplus opportunities to showcase
their expertise.
As far as TBO is concerned, it assures that the students will acquire the right platform to
showcase their expertise in different activities. Further, it fosters various goings-on like
drama, street play, flash mob, dance, music, short film, and several dramatics and literary
activities. In addition, it encourages and prepares the students to partake in the Indian
International Model United Nations, which will provide the students with global awareness
and knowledge about procedure and working of the United Nations Organization (UNO).
TBO has been vastly contributing its part to the institute’s inter-college cultural event
MITAFEST, powered by Athenaeum.
