Two Reports Cite Lack of Data

★ In 2018 the OECD published a report investigating the accounting methods used in citing the economic benefits of the circular economy. The conclusion: lack of data makes it difficult to verify the claims

★ In 2019 the UN also concluded the lack of data made it difficult to measure Asia’s progress towards the SDG goals

An Opportunity for Collaboration

★ While this lack of data is important, it presents an opportunity to Malaysia to ramp up and contribute to the global circular economy movement in ways not considered previously.

It would also engage all government ministries, provide huge insights into the Malaysia economy and enable better economic decisions
