Druids comfortably extended their
winning streak to 5 by easily seeing of the
challenge of league new boys Llanfair
United. Llanfair came with a game plan of
getting everyone behind the ball and
hoping to hit Druids on the break.
Unfortunately for them the breaks were
few and far between as Druids dominated
the game from start to finish. But it took
nearly half an hour for Druids to make the
breakthrough when Blenkinsop hammered
in the first past the Llanfair keeper who
until then had managed to stop everything
thrown at him.
The second half was much of the same
before Matty Holt added the 2nd on the
hour. 8 minutes later Robbie James headed
Druids 3rd from a corner before Adam
Hesp wrapped it up on the stroke of full
time. Apart from heroics from the Llanfair
keeper, Druids could easily have added
more as Forbes, Kershaw and Hesp all hit
the woodwork as Druids remain 2nd in the
league on goal difference from Caernarfon.

Flint Town United and Guilsfield were in high scoring forms on their travels as both scored six away goals
Flint Town United led four nil at the interval at Denbigh Town with Russ Courtney (2), Si-mon Thelwell and Stewart Carroll on target. Denbigh pulled one back in the second half through Carl Lamb but two late Paul McManus goals sealed a great away day for Flint
Guilsfield also netted six away goals at Buckley Town, they led 4-2 at the break with goals from Jake Cook (2), Arron Edwards and Jack Richard. Buckley replying with a Lee Davey double. The turning point of the game came with the score at two all, Buckley's Tommy Holmes receiving a red card after a last man foul. Cook went on to complete a hat trick for the Guils, his second in two games with Adam Jenkins adding the sixth. Jon Taylor scoring Buckley's third five minutes from time
Jamie Breese gave league leaders Caernarfon Town a fourteenth minute lead at Mold Alex and added his second and Town's third a minute before the break. Nathan Craig netting the other goal from the penalty spot. Gareth Evan-Jones scored Town's fourth goal in added on time.
Cefn Druids are second after a four goal win against Llanfair United. Steve Blenkinsop net-ted the only goal of the first half with defenders Matt Holt, Robbie James and Adam Hesp second half scorers
Holywell Town took a fifteenth minute lead at Holyhead Hotspur with Steve Lewis again on target. Alex Jones equalised for Hotspur before the break. Holywell secured the points with a Tom McElmeel penalty after fifty six minutes
Asa Hamilton scored a first half double for Porthmadog at home to Conwy Borough. Moses Barnett halved the difference after fifty seven minutes but Porth held on to secure a much need three points.

Cefn Druids came away with a draw against an extremely strong Llandudno side but were unlucky not to secure a win. After 34 minutes Llandudno were awarded a controversial penalty which they converted to make the score 1-0 at half time. Druids came out in the second half and equalised after 48 minutes with a goal from Ben Palmer. Unfortunately Druids let their guard down and Llandud-no took full advantage and scored after 52 minutes. Druids continued to battle hard and missed several chances to score before Will Kitchin made it 2 all after 67 minutes. Druids were now the stronger side and could smell victory with several attempts on goal but were unable to find the back of the net, and the final score ended 2-2.

Llandudno played some good football and created lots of chances but Druids nearly took the lead on the counter attack with a Dyfan Thomas strike that went just wide of the post. After some great saves by Jamie Jarvis in the Druids goal keeping them in the game, Llandudno were able to score just be-fore the break.
Druids improved in the second half and Callum Foster was able to convert a Morgan Bagnall pass to put Druids level. Unfortu-nately a long range free kick put Llandudno back in front with 10 minutes to go and with Druids pushing for an equaliser Llandudno hit Druids on the break for a third goal which saw the match finish 3-1 to Llandud-no.

HUWS GRAY ALLIANCE HISTORY Part 14
2003-04 (Continued from previous issues)
One of the most open for many years, particularly with Caernarfon Town , Oswestry Town , Porthmadog and Welshpool Town having won four of the previous five titles.
For the fourth consecutive season, the Cymru Alliance did not receive a club on relegation from the Welsh Premier, but did gain three new members. Bala Town (Welsh National League (Wrexham Area) champions), Llandyrnog United (Welsh Alliance runners-up) and Penrhyncoch (Mid Wales League winners), replacing Amlwch Town who returned to the Welsh Alliance after two years at the higher level.
At the halfway stage, Llangefni Town, who had finished runners-up in 2001/02 (and as Llangefni-Glantraeth the following season) held a narrow advantage over Buckley Town and league newcomers Bala Town and Llandyrnog United.
Glantraeth, positioned just behind the top four, were well-placed to make a title challenge in the second half of the campaign. Whilst the Anglesey county town club continued to hold the lead, as the season moved into spring, Llangefni Town seemed to become nervous as they approached the finishing line. They dropped enough points, during the final weeks of the season, to allow a consistent Buckley Town, who suffered only three defeats throughout the season, to claim the championship.
The Lon Talwrn club suffered such a dip in form that Glantraeth sneaked above them, to claim runners-up position, and deprive their arch rivals of any chance of obtaining promo-tion.
The three newcomers all performed creditably, as Llandyrnog United finished sixth. Whilst Bala Town, who ended two places higher, defeated Penrhyncoch in the League Cup final.
