Thefamily had the largest livery stable in ME. The house has 55 win-dows, 12 guests rooms, 8 in the Main House and 4 in the Car-riage House B and B: 4 Star Diamond rating by AAA.

Lindsey (French & Indian War).In 1937 the home was turned into an Inn & Tavern. Rockland wasknown as Shore Village. 1924 the house was purchased by theWater Company as an office facility. It was used ‘hard’ until thecharming Ken & Ellen purchased the home in 1995. The houseretains it’s original charm. THE PEARL ON THE PIER: 275 Main Street, Rockland ME, (207)594-9889, www.thepearlrockland.com. Opened May 28, 2010.This family affair serves wonderful crab cakes, lobsters, succu-lent pastas and Shrimp Scampi. Located on the water, whenfolks arrive the show begins. Owner Jim Fanning presents aCioppino that truly represents this fisherman’s house. I loved it.

MAINE LIGHTHOUSE MUSEUM: 1 Park Drive, Rockland, ME, (207)594-3301, www.mainelighthousemuseum.org. This amazing placeholds the largest collection of lighthouse artifacts and memen-toes. Your visit will include learning facts like: Light-Ships wereanchored where there was no way a lighthouse could be placed.Brass metal doesn’t corrode. A great place for and event whichcan include a sleep over as one can make arrangements to “SpendA Night at a Lighthouse” overlooking Rockland Harbor.

OWLS HEAD TRANSPORTATION MUSEUM: P.O.
