My Editing Checklist I traced over each capital letter at the beginning of my sentences with a blue colored pencil. I traced over my punctuation marks at the end of each of my sentences with a green colored pencil. I checked over my writing and circled any words I am not sure how to spell with a red colored pencil – Then I looked the words up to fix them. I put an “X” where I need to indent my word at the beginning of my paragraphs with an orange colored pencil. When I finish editing my writing, I will remember to make all of the changes I see in colored pencils when I write my final copy.
