children and youth, the Jacobs Foundation is today one of the world’s leading charitable foundations dedicated

to facilitating innovations in child and youth development.

The Foundation is focused on three thematic priorities:

Science of Learning Exploring frontiers of individualized learning through research on the biological bases of skill acquisition

and their consequences for learning environments and institutions.

Early Education Helping to formulate comprehensive early education policies in Switzerland and other European countries.

The program Transforming Education in Cocoa Communities (TRECC) aims to improve the

living conditions of all children and youth in Cote d’Ivoire through quality education.

The goal is to enable individuals to lead healthy and fulfilled lives, make informed decisions, be

equipped to respond to local and global challenges, and pursue doing and being what they value.

TRECC enables an ecosystem of stakeholders that converge around the common goal of

ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education with lifelong learning opportunities for all.
