Kyoto Convention
The Republic of Belarus became the 72nd Contracting
Party to the International Convention on Simplification
and Harmonization of Customs Procedures
(Kyoto Convention)
The Convention is a model for effective and modern
customs procedures addressing the up-to-date
challenges. The Convention has entered into force for
the Republic of Belarus since 10th April 2011

• A single form of the transit declaration, harmonized with the corresponding document of the European Union
• As a transit declaration is possible to use the transport documents, the package of documents required by the Convention on international road transport and temporary import of goods, documents of the Universal Postal Union.
• When crossing the Belarusian-Russian and Russian-Kazakh border carrier is not faced with the need to pass customs control and to issue national transit declaration
