STAND UP AGAINST BULLYING
Bullying is an issue in schools across the nation and MHS has taken a strong stance against bullying in our school.
What is bullying exactly? Bullying consists of an abusive relationship in which one child uses aggression to control and victimize another. The problem can also occur between groups of children. Bullying usually includes the elements of hurtful intentions, an imbalance of power among the children involved, and behavior that is reoccurring in nature. Bullying can occur in person, via phone and text, or even online.
To help address the issue, Marana High School has launched a tip line where students, parents and community members can call and leave information regarding concerns they may have about being bullied or witnessing someone else being bullied. The tip line is anonymous and a message can be left regarding the concern students or others may have. The tip line number is checked each school day and tips are followed up on by an administrator.
The tip line number is (520) 616-‐6444. Keep your school safe and speak up!
