Course Description: Join fellow students for a 12-day journey of adventure and meaningful service learning to Vietnam. Delaware Tech will team up with Brittany's Hope Foundation to support the organization’s service projects, culminating in travel to this exotic land of ancient beauty and history to make a difference in the life of an abandoned child.
While abroad, students will engage in service learning projects at local orphanages, vocational rehabilitation centers, and impoverished communities. Subpopulations include children with disabilities and exposure to Vietnamese perspectives of what is considered disabled. Students will visit historical landmarks and museums such as Marble Mountain, where students will learn about the Buddhist faith, the American War Museum, Cu Chi tunnels, and the tourist destination of Hoi An.
