Rough Draft # 2 Due Friday 9/25/14

Open up your essay in Word.

Select the “Review” tab and then “Track Changes”

Notice that the title has changed. Because the title changed, a little red bar or line pops up.

You need to click on that little red bar so that I can see your changes.

When you make a major change to the entire paper, it will pop up like this.

Another Example

When you go to print, check your print preview to make sure that it prints with the changes.

Once you have printed the second draft for class on 9/25/14, you can go to “review” and select “Accept” and then “Accept All Changes and Stop Tracking.”

Your revised paper, will then look like this.

Rough Draft #2 Requirements• Typed• Completed Paper – all paragraphs, all research, works cited page, etc.• 10-12 evident changes• I am looking for changes to content – fixing every little

grammar mistake, while super important, is not a good use of revision time. Fix those issues and work on your content.

You also need to tell me what your word count is for the entire paper.

In your paper, highlight the text of your paper: title through the last

sentence of your introduction.

If you did it right, you will see at the bottom it tells you how many words you have selected out of the total

words.
