• Tropical Savanna soil is very infertile, as demonstrated by its lack of lush vegetation

Best Time to Visit

• During the dry season, April through to October. Many areas are inaccessible during the Wet season, and climates and uncomfortably hot and humid.

Plant and Animal Adaptions

• Grass is so rampant in Tropical Savannas because the soil lack the ability to grow larger, more demanding plants.

• Animals like the elephant and gazelle are prominent in Tropical Savannas because there is a large amount of grass for them to graze on, and a scarcity of trees and shrubbery to hinder their movement.

• 40 different fauna species that are unique to the biome, including elephants!• Tropical Savannas have an

abundance of termites

• Go watch the animals! The Tropical Savanna biome has some of the most beautiful animals in the world including the world's largest land mammal, the African elephant, the Nile crocodile, the hyena and many varieties of beetles, and ants!

• Makes sure to get your malaria shots though! Several different types of mosquito inhibit the Tropical Savanna biome.
