Directions on How to Obtain a Gmail Email Address

Step 1: Open web browser and enter http://gmail.google.com in address bar

Step 2: Click on “Create an account”

Step 3: Fill out the following items on the “Create an Account” section

First and Last Names

Desired User Name: for example farmstand@gmail.com

o This must be unique, so you must test to see if someone

has it already.

o Type in a name, then click “Check Availability”

o If yours is ok, continue. If not, pick a suggested

alternative or try a new name.

Choose a password: Choose a combination of numbers and

letters, at least 8 characters long.

o DO NOT FORGET YOUR USER NAME AND PASSWORD

You will need them for all Google Services in the future

Birthday

Gender

Mobile phone number

Current email address

Word Verification: Re-type the letters you see. This is done to prove that you are a real

person and not malicious software.

Location: Leave it as United States

Click “I agree”

Click “Next step”

Follow steps
