UTM Zone Details
Each Zone is 6 degrees wide
Zone loca<on defined by a central meridian
Origin at the Equator, 500,000m west of the zone central Meridian
Coordinates are always posi<ve (offset for south Zones)
Coordinates discon<nuous across zone boundaries

Arc supports many “flavors” of UTM, but in Minnesota, the most often used are the NAD83
(original, or 1986) and the various CORS96/2007/2011/HARN versions, in the
“UTM/North America” folder
Functionally, they’re equivalent
Projection UTM 83(86) to UTM83(2011)
