Project 1 is an introduction to the geometric construction of points, lines and surface and the fundamentals of orthographic projection. Students will distribute elevated data points within a grid matrix in order to realize a continuous, triangulated surface.

Pictures-Full, Different Angle-Plan-Roof-Eggcrate

Project 2 is an explicit investigation of occupiable space through the 1D or linear organization of a set of discreet volumes accompanied by the formal development of thickened surfaces, openings and a sequential path through these volumes.

Paraline PhotoParaline Drawing

Using planar elements derived from Project 2, students will develop interconnected spacesof varied scale and degree of enclosure/definition, as well as orchestrate movement in multiple directions.

PROJECT 32D FIELD

Students will expand upon previous lessons of spatial definition and directed movement in order to organize and develop a sequence of vertically and horizontally interconnected spaces that vary in scale and experiential qualities.
